- Throughout the
Women Deliver conference,
young people emerged
as those most vulnerable
to maternal death and
disability and as agents
of change who can transform
policies, programming,
and culture to reflect
their right to comprehensive
sexual and reproductive
health services.
- For
young women ages 15
through 19, in much
of the developing world,
complications related
to pregnancy, childbirth,
and unsafe abortion
are the leading cause
of death.
- Young
people worldwide are
taking action to educate
and empower themselves
and their communities
to build a world where
parenthood is safe
and freely chosen.
